About Me

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Advertising + Public Relations at Michigan State University.

My research is focused on political communication and the political information ecosystem. research explores how variations in technology and affordances shapes political campaign communications. I primarily work in the United States political context and uses large-scale data collection and computational research methods to inform typologies of communication platforms.

I also study systematic biases in information environments by looking at how algorithms and user behavior influences content. In addition, I examine how lifestyle cues influence political evaluations.

I earned my doctorate from the Department of Communication and Media at the University of Michigan. I also hold a Master of Public Policy degree from the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan.
