Dan Hiaeshutter-Rice, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Advertising + Public Relations as Michigan State University.

His work is primarily focused on political communication with an emphasis on understanding on communication platforms alter the nature of political messages. His research often uses computational methods with a focus on big data collection from various sources.

Dr. Hiaeshutter-Rice also serves as the Director of the Advertising Analytics program at Michigan State University where he is also a faculty affiliate at the Health Risk Communication Center. He is also one of the founding members of the Political Communication Working Group at the University of Michigan.
